Part 5: Adopt a persona 1 day

Using your new persona, adopt and ‘wear’ the working process (or mask) for a project that you’re currently developing (or have recently finished). The trick here is not to focus on getting great ideas to solve the problem in hand, or indeed to create a tangible outcome at all. The aim, rather, is to explore and adopt a different way of working to see where it leads. You should be consciously refining your understanding of this new process as you’re working – don’t slip back into the real you (not yet). This will feel unfamiliar and uncomfortable but it will begin to offer new perspectives and pathways. Pay particular attention to anything that creates some kind of reaction in you, and regularly refer back to the guidelines given in Part 4.
